Building on the unique, yet recognizable sound that has become familiar to Hot Topic’s in-store customers, PlayNetwork partnered with the specialty retailer to design and implement an offering that would further extend brand affinity through a musically centric offering outside of its stores. Music and music culture are at the core of Hot Topic’s brand, and their young, selective, music oriented shoppers are tech savvy and heavy consumers of mobile data. To find a solution to suit this progressive customer base, Hot Topic was looking for an innovative and highly branded music experience deployable via portable media devices.
